Wal-E
For once since I’ve graduated, my life has actually been busy!
Last week my brothers stayed with me while our parents went on a cruise. (yeah they’re copycats) We had a pretty good time. Among other activites we went to the movies twice. Saw Wal-E and Journey to the Center of the Earth 3D. Wal-E was way better.
Besides having adorable cartoon characters, the movie actually had a message. The basic plot of the movie was that humans had basically trashed the earth and took a “five year” space cruise while little robots cleaned up their mess. Well was supposed to be five years turned into 700. Robots did everything and people did nothing besides get fat and lazy. Sounds like something that could actually happen right? The cute little white robot named Eve was sent to Earth to find out if the plant could sustain life again. She meets Wal-E and they have a robot romance LOL! She also finds a plant. Well to make a long story short, the chubby humans come back to Earth and realize that they actually have to take care of the planet. I thought the movie was very entertaining for both kids and adults!
Journey to the Center of the Earth was actually disappointing. After having to hunt down a theater that actually was showing the movie in 3D I realized the anticipation was for nothing. The only good thing about it was the 3D effects. Other than that it was pretty lame. I was expecting more dinosaurs and run-ins with wild creatures and more adventurous suspense. Instead I got one dinosaur on the screen for about fiveminutes and a sappy story line about a boy and his uncle trying to find his father who vanished a year a go in the center of the Earth. Then they threw in a unbelievable love connection. Not my kind of movie, and I wouldn’t recomend it to anyone unless they just want to experience the whole 3D movie thing.
