Social Networks seem to be the new thing. All of sudden the whole word is crazy with twitter. Even though twitter isn’t really that new. My friends and I have been using twitter since ‘07. Ya know, before it was the cool thing.But just like Myspace and Facebook the more the merrier. The past few days I’ve been having fun following my friends and tons of strangers. The best feature has to be the way news can travel so fast through twitter. In the midst of this Swine Flu thing, I’ve been completely updated, although nothing major really seems to be happening. Twitter is making the world even smaller. Last night there was an earthquake in California, I knew probably before google, from the loads of people twittering. While watching American Idol, by simply searching #idol I could see everyone else’s reaction to Adam being in the bottom two. (Yes I’m an American Idol fan. Go Gokey!) I even enjoy reading Ryan Secreast’s twitters before the show. Speaking of celebrity’s, even the WhiteHouse is on Twitter.

I use about three different apps to twitter aside from the actual website. TweetDeck for my computer, Twitterrific for my iTouch, and Twitterberry for my blackberry. Sometimes I use just regular SMS text messaging if I’m in a hurry.  Now that I’ve typed all that out, I’m wondering WHY do I need so many apps to twitter LOL! Well let me explain. TweetDeck shows both Facebook and Twitter status updates, and it makes RT (retweet) and replying easier. Obviously I’m in love with iTouch and it wouldn’t be complete without a Twitter app. I downloaded Twitterberry recently so I can send mobile twitpics.
